Increase your Soil's Productivity without Increasing Costs

By creating a healthy eco-system, the cost of problems reduce as nature returns to balance. Over time, the system will start to look after itself, reducing labour costs and the need to buy chemicals. As a grower you deserve to reap the benefits. We can help.

Lab Test - Soil Food Web

After receiving your compost or soil sample, Astrid will measure the biomass of your soil. Following this you will receive a detailed Soil Food Web report of the quantity of biomass present per gram of soil, and the Fungal to Bacterial ratio. F:B ratio determines where your soil currently sits in trophic level succession. (A bacterial dominant soil favours growing weeds, annuals and brassicas, whereas a fungal dominant soil favours growing perennials, berry fruit and trees. An even ratio suits most row crops and pasture).

Package deal includes:

  • 1 soil or compost sample received in a sandwich size ziplock bag (collected as per instructions sent by Replenish)

  • Receive microscope analysis of your sample.

This includes:

1. Nematode scan

2. Determine microbiology present

including Fungi, Oomycetes (disease causing fungi), Protozoa (Amoeba, flagellates, ciliates) & Bacteria and actinobacteria.

About

We all know the planet is in trouble, most of us feel there isn’t anything we personally can do to improve it. I wanted to learn how to grow vegetables without relying on chemicals, I thought it was simply a matter of stopping spraying poisons and just spray something else instead, I thought this was what growing organic meant!

My studies through The Organic College BHU Lincoln and The Soil Food Web school have taught me so much about ecosystems and how everything has a role. I learned killing things isn’t the answer, it’s all about creating balance, this is what nature tries to do!

I see my role is in sharing this knowledge and helping to create healthy pockets of soil wherever possible.
